A comedy of the Hirvonen family whose family enterprise "Bootlegged Booze and Fingerfood" gets into trouble with the law and the father is whisked off to prison when a "replenishment trip" to the liquor store falls through. His sons do not however rest idle for long, in fear of creditors and in hope of the prize money, they come up with the idea of coaching their pathologically shy but musically talented half-sister for the Child Star of the Year contest. They turn to former child star and present karaoke queen, Laura, for help.
